The Hotel Posada del Mar is an Isla Mujeres tradition because each guest is treated as part of its family. Located downtown on the Bay of Mujeres and set in spacious tropical gardens, the Posada has a beach club on the family-oriented white sand beach just across the street and is only one block from the island’s famous North Beach, the center of activity on the island during the day.

All rooms in the main building of the hotel have a patio or balcony with ocean view. Rooms in the new section have balconies with a garden view and larger bathrooms. There are three mini-suites in the new section, each with one king bed, refrigerator and microwave oven and bathroom with shower/tub combo. Rooms in New Building #1 have small refrigerators, in-room safes, flat screen TV with remote and balconies with a garden view (most also have an ocean view). All sections have rooms with one king bed and rooms with two double beds.

The hotel has a new, large freshwater pool with ocean view and a separate shallow pool area for children. A large palapa adjacent to the pool offers recreation facilities and is home to Romi’s Bar. Pinguino’s Restaurant serves all meals at moderate prices and room service is available.

The Hotel Posada del Mar is a very special place for all visitors to Isla Mujeres. Mornings in Mexico recommends early reservations due to the number of repeat guests.

Policies

In the peak season all reservations made more than one week ahead must be prepaid. 
In the off season a deposit of two nights is required when booking; full payment is due 15 days before arrival.

Deposits and final payments are sent to an account in the US. All deposits are fully refundable with 72 hours notice of cancellation. Reservations cancelled within 72 hours of arrival are subject to a cancellation fee: two nights in the peak season (December 23-March 31) and one night in the off-season (April 1-December 22).

There is a discount of 10% off the room rate for prepaid bookings of three nights or more.

Up to two children under twelve are free when sharing the room with two adults.
Children twelve and over and extra adults pay $10 US plus tax extra per night each.
All rates plus 12% Mexican tax.
